Overall, C2K and Northgate have impressed me! My initial excitement about this new interface was only multiplied after the course and I have since introduced (very briefly) MySchool to my own colleagues who also seemed very enthused. Although this was not fully operational on the day of training, we did get an insight and again it looked very straight forward. MySchool Administration is accessed on the right and will be the new control panel for the C2K manager. The management console that we currently work with will also be replaced. This stands beside a slim bar on the right hand side that includes links to things like word, documents and Fronter. The school calendar and pupil timetables will be imported from SIMs. In the centre of the page are a series of widgets that include things like BBC education, the weather and a calendar. HODs? Office staff? All staff? I’m not yet sure! It might be the time to open a discussion about who it will be delegated to. Very handy! A point to note is that only the C2K manager has the permission to post a message until this role has been delegated to others. Notices can be sent to individual pupils, one class or the whole school. Just below the banner is a notice board that is highly visible and will quickly become indispensable for office staff I imagine. Likewise does navigating the page itself. This can be uploaded by your C2K manager and seems to be a very simple process. The banner is fully customisable and will include your school name and crest. The professional look of the interface has clearly taken C2K a lot of time and it is evident they have thought carefully about how to include as many interesting features for pupils and teachers alike. If you were expecting to see MySchool on Monday 3rd September, you won’t! But, that thankfully was the only negative point of the day. I did feel a little unlucky later in the week however when announced to a packed #nibeermeet that I was one of the ‘lucky ones’ as the questions started coming and the pressure started to grow! They soon worked out the new boy didn’t know much and didn’t ask again but I’ve since thought about it and here is an overview.įirstly, the rumours are true, the rollout has been delayed. because little did I know that I would be one of only 20 educators in Northern Ireland to get to play with the new resource as all other sessions after were cancelled (I swear I didn’t break it!). Because I was very excited to get a glimpse of the new and improved service which is MySchool and 2. Last Tuesday I was lucky enough to have been invited to a ‘MySchool Familiarisation Day’ in Brownlow College.

He was outstanding in 2021 during his breakout season, which saw him pile up 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns on 64 catches as he became Tennessee’s first 1,000-yard receiver since 2012 and end the season on an absolute tear with five 100-yard performances in the final six games – including a 10-catch, 200-yard game against Georgia. Tillman missed Tennessee’s big wins against Florida, LSU and Alabama before returning to play against Kentucky, Georgia and South Carolina, but he also missed the Missouri and Vanderbilt games.Īt the time, Tillman looked like a big miss. He underwent tightrope surgery to cut down on his recovery time, but still wound up playing in just three of the final nine regular-season games before opting out of the Orange Bowl to get fully healthy for the NFL Draft process. Tennessee got a late-season preview of life after quarterback Hendon Hooker and wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, but the Vols had to replace Tillman most of last season following the high ankle sprain he suffered against Akron in the third game. GET VIP MEMBERSHIP TO GOVOLS247 - FIRST MONTH FOR $1 Next up is big-play wide receiver Cedric Tillman, who followed up a breakout 2021 season with an injury-hit campaign in 2022 and as a result wound up sliding to the third round, where the Cleveland Browns took him with the No. GoVols247 this week will assess the situation left behind by each drafted player and break down how Tennessee will go about replacing them this season. The flip side to the positive impact of draft success in recruiting and for the current players – who just watched their teammates work themselves into lucrative situations and fulfill their dreams – is replacing them the following season, and those star players left big voids to fill on offense and defense heading into the 2023 season. Tennessee produced five of the first 77 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Vols trailing only Alabama for the most selections through the first three rounds. The framework is so similar that importing legacy profiles and Thunderbird profiles - the e-mail companion - is an automatic action. This makes SeaMonkey’s user profiles, add-ons and user interface elements almost like its kindred brother. SeaMonkey now uses the same internal platform as Firefox 3.5.4, according to. By comparison, SeaMonkey seems to load much faster and zips in and out of websites with a lot less effort. I tend to keep Firefox loaded with so many add-ons and open tabs that I can feel it slow down. I use the same approach with the two automobiles in my driveway - an SUV for hauling and a sporty model for touring. Having a second Web browser open lets me move around the Web without other distractions. I have Firefox preset to load always-there websites and online email services that consume regular repeat performances throughout my workday. But of these three, SeaMonkey is the one browser that requires almost no fussing. On all of my computers, I switch among SeaMonkey, Firefox and Google Chrome. The answer, however, may not be satisfactory.įor me, using multiple browsers is part of my work style. With all these nice features available in SeaMonkey, why am I willing to settle for a near clone of Firefox? That is a fair question. But SeaMonkey’s sidebar has such an efficient flow to it that I actually do not mind having it share some screen real estate with a Web site’s page display. In particular, I rarely keep a sidebar open in a Web browser. What I like the most about the SeaMonkey browser - and what keeps me coming back to it - is its cleaner look and feel. Equally nice is the ability to run some of the Firefox add-ons in SeaMonkey as well. Although the collection is not yet nearly as prolific as what Firefox provides, several of my favorite add-ons are exclusive to SeaMonkey. The SeaMonkey community keeps growing more add-on functionality. For example, SeaMonkey offers tabbed browsing, interface customization, user profiles and an amply stocked tools menu. It has many of the features that have become synonymous with Web browsing. SeaMonkey’s latest version, 2.0.14, comes much closer to being a clone of the latest Firefox rendition. But I keep coming back to SeaMonkey for its simplicity and charm. I have since played around with other browsers, including my workhorse favorite, Firefox, by the Mozilla folks. Some SeaMonkey add-ons are similar to legacy Firefox add-ons and can work in K-Meleon with minor ‘s SeaMonkey Project was my first exposure to Web browsing when I started dabbling in the Linux OS. This has significantly slowed the development of SeaMonkey in part because SeaMonkey still relies on Mozilla's older XUL technology. Quantum completely rewrote huge portions of Firefox to be faster, more stable, and more secure. In 2017, Mozilla released Firefox Quantum. The SeaMonkey Project emerged as a community effort to maintain a complete internet suite using the same code base as Firefox. When Mozilla's standalone web browser Firefox eclipsed the more complex internet suites in market share, Mozilla shifted its focus to Firefox and stopped development of the old internet suite. Mozilla developed the new Mozilla Internet Suite from the ground up, and Netscape based the versions of their official products up to 7. To create a new internet suite Netscape spun off Mozilla. Netscape's web browser lost significant market share due to Microsoft combining its Windows operating system and Internet Explorer web browser. Netscape initially released the Netscape Communicator suite in 1997 and it became the most popular way to access the internet. These included browsers plus a variety of other internet applications. SeaMonkey is a continuation of the Mozilla and Netscape internet suites. It includes a browser, email/newsgroup client, HTML editor, IRC chat, and development tools. It is maintained by the SeaMonkey Project. SeaMonkey is an open-source internet suite related to K-Meleon and Firefox. These Acai bowls can be consumed as a hearty breakfast or a yummy dessert! He hired the best head coach money could buy, convincing Harry the Idolator to leave his previous position with Khaine’s Killers and equipping him with the best familiars and assistants that dark magic could bring forth. When establishing his team, the Overfiend cut no corners. It is no surprise then that when his interest in Blood Bowl was piqued, his presence in the game as a team owner was soon felt. Whoever he is, it is apparent that he wields great influence his web of power and wealth reaching far and wide. Known commonly as ‘The Overfiend of the Lead Citadel’, or simply as ‘The Overfiend’, some speculate that he is an Orc turned to Chaos, while others insist that he is a Skaven warlord with a penchant for sports entertainment. No two commentators can agree from where he hails and the theories as to his motives are many and varied. The exact identity and origin of the owner of the Doom Lords is somewhat of a mystery. Then stabbed ’em up and made ’em scream!” Skaven teams have never been short of fans – they seem to crawl out of the very walls sometimes – and the Scramblers have such numerous and ravenous fans that their games often need temporary ad-hoc seating arrangements to accommodate them, and they almost never leave a stadium un-damaged after they go. It can only be a matter of time before the Scramblers reach the top again. Three times winners of the Blood Bowl, the team possesses a vicious mixture of the natural speed of the Skaven and the brutal raw power of its Rat Ogres. Rising from the foulest sewers of the land, the Skavenblight Scramblers are the world’s premier Skaven team, consistently beating out their nearest rivals, the Warphunters. Even when measured against consistent league winners like the Reavers, the Gouged Eye are not to be underestimated – they are steamrolling their way to a championship and wont be stopped. Under the auspices of tribal overlord Gobsuck Skullcrush XII and the extremely sadistic training methods of Severlimb, the Gouged Eye have thrived, and the cycle of violence dolled out in training can be seen in every play the team makes – it’s a rare match against the Gouged Eye that doesn’t end with numerous casualties. The Gouged Eye has risen steadily from its years as a laughing stock, and are now chief contenders for the top spot. This is also true on the road, as the team travels with a veritable Waaagh! of fans wherever they play. Under the dismal, dingy lights of the Doom Dome, the Orcs play with a powerful home-field advantage, and they are all too happy to use their loud, belligerent crowds to intimidate their opponents. Big, strong and heavily armoured, Orc teams’ preferred tactic is to mangle the opposing players until they litter the pitch and can no longer contest the ball – scoring points is a secondary concern. So if you’re looking for something different this year to watch this Christmas don’t sleep on The Iceman Cometh! It’s got all the right moves for the holiday and then some! I recently bought a copy of this on blue ray but it can only be shipped from Hong Kong. This is the classic fish out of water scenario done right and it still amazes me that Yuen Biao did not become just as big as Jackie Chan or Chow Yun Fat In the United States. Make sure to watch for the rooftop scene with the 747 flying past, incredible detail in so many scenes. Everyone looks so cool and you can tell a lot of care went into making this one an unforgettable cinematic spectacle. Count me so IN! It’s also a spectacle to see how amazing the city of Hong Kong looks in the 1980s, with neon a plenty & loads of cool fashion sported by Maggie Cheung and both of the Yuens. The fight sequences are truly stunning and even better there’s plenty of that hand drawn eighties lightning / electricity FX here that I love so much to go around to fully please any fan of the era. It most definitely needs a wider US audience and an official blu ray release here in the states. It’s got a ton of heart, a great story, incredibly likable colorful characters, wild action sequences, sharp comedy and even some sweet romance. Things only get worse too once he discovers how much evil he can Is accomplished in the 1980s with a wide array of firepower! Easily one of my favorite Hong-Kong productions it simply should not be missed. Bone breaking stunts and a bad guy who’s so damn evil you’ll be cheering for someone to beat his ass to smithereens! Yuen Wah really shines as the ultimate villainous murderer. The Iceman Cometh however has this going forward and then some! Yuen Biao has quickly become one of my all time favorite action stars and here all of his ass-kickin’, back flipping martial arts are on full jaw dropping display. I find this one particularly intriguing since most of the Hong-Kong movies I’ve seen never take place during the holidays and feature Christmas as a prominent set piece. In the midst of battle they become frozen in ice when falling off the edge of a snowy mountain- only to thaw out in 1980s Hong-Kong 300 years later! There they try and fit in while preparing for one final confrontation that could take them back to their own time. Long story short, we’ve got two highly skilled, super powered swordsmen hell bent on destroying each other, facing off in ancient China. Add the beautifully charming Maggie Cheung and the devilishly evil villain Yuen Wah and you’ve got yourself a bonafide blast of action, Christmas spirit, romance and supernatural shenanigans. Leading dude Yuen Biao has just as much charisma and 10 times the damn moves of Bruce Willis anyday. Yeah, If you’re looking for an Holiday action flick this year and are burnt out on ‘Die Hard’, then look no further than the ‘Iceman Cometh’. Let’s waste no time, because ‘The Iceman Cometh’ from 1989 is not only one of the coolest kick ass Hong Kong action flicks, it also takes place during Christmas! Ho ho ho! Christmas is creeping up quickly and it’s time to get list of cool shit ready to view for the holidays! So I’m here to throw a few largely unseen gems at you to mix things up this year that have the Xmas vibes oozing from them.
